GRANT MAKING NERDS
Executive Director
Your top priority is moving resources to the field. You are charismatic, and have built strong relationships with XYZ Foundation's donors. You are a strong fundraiser and have had success in growing the organization’s budget, but you aren’t paying that much attention to whether the budget goes to programming or operations.
You think that all money is tainted so you are always open to hearing pitches from different people about funding the organization’s work, even when others raise concerns.
What You Know about Acadia

To bolster growth, the Acadia Conservative Party has begun implementing land policies that are having disastrous effects on rural and urban poor communities. NGOs and rights groups have raised concerns over what they say is an epidemic of forced evictions amid spiraling land prices and lax enforcement of laws. Many evictions make way for hotels and skyscrapers in the rapidly developing capital. In the countryside, evictions are often justified to make way for logging, mining, resorts, casinos or plantations.

Acadia’s government has faced international criticism for its forced evictions and its policies on natural resource extraction, while international human rights groups have raised concerns about democratic shortcomings in previous elections. The corruption scandals and human rights concerns have made Acadia’s relationship with international donors relatively strained; but donors who work on human rights and social justice are interested in increasing funding to Acadia civil society groups.
